Personal care during treatment
While receiving radiation therapy, most people maintain their
usual lifestyle at home or at work and enjoy customary recreational
activities with family and friends. It is normal for most
patients to feel tired whilst on treatment.
Avoid becoming over-tired by planning your activities to allow
for rest periods throughout the day. Further information on
self-care will be given to you during the first week of your
treatment. If at any time you feel you require further
self-care advice, please ask any member of the treatment team.
For more information on taking care of your skin and your
general well being during radiation therapy treatment, please see
